It’s well-known that those who are engaged in their work and wellbeing are more likely to use available support services like EAPs. However, employee engagement in EAPs often falls short, particularly for those who might feel they don’t need help or are hesitant to reach out. Connected Ape’s workshops and coaching are designed to break down resistance and provide a platform for all employees to engage in learning, normalising wellbeing discussions and introducing the value of supported coaching or therapy. By offering proactive wellbeing support, we ensure that employees feel empowered and supported, even if they don’t yet recognise they need help.

Our workshops and coaching sessions are designed to be interactive and actionable, offering employees practical tools they can use immediately. We also provide follow-up resources and where relevant personalised recordings to ensure continued engagement. Plus, by integrating our services into your company’s culture, we help normalise wellbeing discussions and make employees feel comfortable seeking support when needed.

It’s common for some employees to be reluctant to engage with wellbeing programs, particularly if they feel that seeking help is a sign of weakness. Our workshops and coaching sessions are designed to break down these barriers and create a safe space for employees to learn and engage without judgment. Our goal is to normalise mental fitness discussions and ensure that employees feel comfortable taking the first step toward support.

Yes, confidentiality is a top priority for us. All therapy and coaching sessions are confidential, and employees can feel safe knowing that their personal information is protected. This ensures that employees can seek help without fear of their issues being disclosed to the organisation. We provide anonymised feedback where appropriate, focusing on overall wellbeing trends rather than individual details.

The timeline depends on the specific services you choose. For workshops or individual sessions, we can get started within a few weeks – subject to availability. If you’re looking to implement a more comprehensive program with ongoing coaching or therapy, we’ll work with you to create a timeline that fits your needs.

Coaching

We offer coaching programs designed to support individual growth, resilience, and wellbeing, focusing on personal and professional development. Our offerings include leadership coaching, executive coaching, and wellbeing coaching, with a special emphasis on mental fitness and emotional intelligence. We also tailor our coaching for specific challenges, such as burnout, stress management, and performance enhancement.

Irrespective of the job title, we are coaching the human  and their potential.

Our offerings are coaching and therapeutic coaching.

Therapeutic coaching combines the best aspects of coaching and therapy to offer a holistic approach to personal development. Combining the focus on structure and goal setting with EMDR, Somatic and trauma informed practices.

This allows us to address immediate challenges and also deeper emotions or past trauma that may be holding them back by influencing behaviour and or mindset.

This is not a replacement for therapy

Coaching sessions typically last between 60 to 75 minutes. We stick to 60 minutes when time is of the essence. The number of sessions required varies based on individual goals. A short-term program may include 6 -10 sessions over 4-6 months, while more complex issues may benefit from long-term coaching – up to a year. Our flexible approach ensures that your coaching experience fits your needs and desired outcomes.

Absolutely, it can help as an integrative part of support from the wider work system. We use a variety of tools, including mindfulness, emotional regulation strategies, and stress management techniques, to help individuals build resilience against burnout.

We provide individual coaching as well as team coaching. Team coaching focuses on improving communication, collaboration, and trust, building a positive work environment. We also offer leadership coaching to help managers and leaders foster psychological safety and employee wellbeing.

It really depends on your teams. Sometimes people prefer to work individually before moving on to the openness, sharing and vulnerability of team coaching.

Results from therapy or coaching can vary, but most clients start noticing shifts in their mindset, energy levels, and overall sense of wellbeing within a few sessions. We regularly check in with our clients to assess progress and adjust our approach as needed. Workshops

Our workshops are designed to foster collective strength and enhance the wellbeing of your entire team, creating a culture where every employee can flourish. Explore the FAQs to learn how our interactive and empowering sessions can nurture resilience and inspire positive transformation in your workplace

As you can see from our workshop page, we offer a variety of workshops that are tailored to improving employee wellbeing, resilience, and mental fitness

Designed to work at the different levels of the organisation.

Many companies already offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as part of their wellbeing strategy. CAPE’s services can complement or enhance your existing EAP by providing additional support that engages employees in a way traditional EAP services might not. While EAPs are excellent for individual support, they often reach only those already actively seeking help. Our  workshops are designed to engage all employees—especially those who may not actively engage with an EAP—by offering proactive learning and mental fitness strategies that benefit everyone.

Our workshops can range from a 1-hour Lunch and Learn to a full day-long session or series of builder sessions, it all depends on your team’s needs. However, most organisations find that 3 hours strikes the perfect balance between learning and work. This duration allows for deep engagement while still respecting employees’ time and productivity.

A Lunch and Learn is a short, impactful workshop designed to introduce employees to key wellbeing topics in a manageable format. It’s a great entry point for organisations looking to kickstart a wellbeing initiative or create an open dialogue about mental fitness. Typically held over lunch, it’s an informal yet focused session that leaves participants with valuable insights. We recommend allowing some time afterward for employees to process what they’ve learned before returning to their workday, ensuring the session has the intended impact and reflection time.

Workshops provide a shared learning experience where employees can engage in open dialogue and collectively explore strategies to improve mental health and resilience. They lay the foundation for long-term growth, creating a platform for further development. By engaging together, employees build team cohesion, shared understanding, and are better equipped to implement changes as individuals and as a collective. These workshops provide immediate takeaways while setting the stage for continued evolution in wellbeing practices across the organisation.

While workshops provide valuable insights, coaching offers personalised support to help employees build on what they’ve learned. Coaching sessions provide the space and guidance to turn insights into actionable goals, ensuring employees have the tools they need to implement changes in their everyday work and life. Supported coaching is designed to help employees apply and reinforce the strategies from workshops, making growth and development a reality. It’s a way to ensure that the impact of the workshops doesn’t fade, and that individuals have the support they need to achieve lasting change.

Talking Therapy

We understand that true wellbeing begins with emotional support and healing. Our talking therapy services are grounded in a human-centred approach that prioritizes safety, empowerment, and long-term recovery, helping individuals find their way back to balance and resilience.

We offer a range of therapeutic services including:

  • Hypnotherapy: Working at the level of the unconscious

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): Helping individuals process and reframe trauma.

  • Somatic Therapy: Focusing on the mind-body connection to release tension and trauma.

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy: All our therapies are grounded in a trauma-sensitive approach that prioritises safety and empowerment.

We adhere to trauma-informed principles across all of our therapies. This means that we understand how past experiences, particularly trauma, can deeply impact mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Our therapists create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your challenges at your own pace.

We prioritise:

  • Safety: Ensuring that you feel emotionally and physically safe at all times.

  • Empowerment: Giving you control over the pace and process of your therapy, ensuring that your voice is heard and respected.

  • Trustworthiness: Building a strong, trusting relationship to foster healing and growth.

  • Choice: You are always in control of your therapy journey, with the option to decide which techniques are most suitable for you.

This approach allows us to work with individuals who may have experienced significant trauma.

we don’t offer arbitrary session limits because we believe in working holistically with each individual to achieve lasting change. For EMDR therapy, effective results can  require up to 12 sessions to ensure deep, meaningful progress. Our focus is on your employees safety and creating sustainable, long-term change, making your investment in therapy both effective and worthwhile.

A therapy session at CAPE is a compassionate, supportive experience focused on your unique needs. Whether you’re engaging in hypnotherapy, EMDR, or somatic therapy, you can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and challenges.

We begin by discussing your goals and identifying the issues you’d like to address. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a tailored therapeutic plan. Each session is designed to help you release old emotional patterns, regulate stress, and build resilience, with a focus on long-term healing. You’ll leave each session feeling empowered with new insights, tools, and strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

We provide a suggested programme

We are committed to delivering real, lasting results. Our approach integrates neuroscience, trauma-informed practices, and somatic work to create a holistic, personalized therapeutic experience. Every session is focused on addressing your unique needs, ensuring that you get the most out of each appointment.

Beyond just resolving immediate symptoms, we aim to empower you with tools to regulate emotions, build resilience, and live with greater clarity and confidence. We also offer ongoing support through follow-up resources and check-in sessions, ensuring that the benefits of therapy extend well beyond your time with us.

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and the impact can vary. However, many clients notice changes in their mindset, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing after just a few sessions. You’ll likely start to feel more in control of your emotional responses, better equipped to handle stress, and more resilient in the face of challenges.

We regularly check in with our clients to ensure progress is being made and will adjust our approach as needed. Additionally, we encourage you to reflect on the changes you’re experiencing, and we work together to set and evaluate goals as part of the therapy process.

Yes, confidentiality is a core value of our practice. Everything you share during therapy is kept private and secure. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines and comply with data protection laws, ensuring that your personal information is never disclosed without your consent. The only exceptions to confidentiality are in cases where there is a legal requirement, or if there is a concern about your safety or the safety of others. In these rare instances, we will discuss the matter with you beforehand.

Currently, hypnotherapy is not typically covered by most private healthcare plans in the UK, as many providers focus on more traditional therapies like CBT, psychotherapy, or psychiatric services. However, we believe in the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for addressing a range of mental health and emotional issues, and many clients find it to be a valuable and transformative part of their therapy journey.

While hypnotherapy is not always reimbursed through insurance, the long-term benefits of hypnotherapy — such as reducing stress, managing anxiety, overcoming limiting beliefs, and addressing trauma — often lead to lasting change that improves overall wellbeing. We encourage you to see the investment in hypnotherapy as a complement to traditional therapies, with significant long-term impact on mental fitness, resilience, and emotional health.

If you’re looking to use insurance to cover the cost of your therapy, we recommend checking with your insurer about their coverage options for other therapies offered at CAPE, such as EMDR,  which may be eligible for coverage.

Burnout and Organisational Responsibility

Burnout is a systemic issue driven by organisational culture, workload, and leadership. While individual therapy and coaching are crucial, preventing burnout requires a holistic approach that includes leadership training, workload management, and creating a supportive work environment. Connected Ape partners with organisations to address both individual wellbeing and systemic factors, ensuring sustainable employee resilience and a culture of mental fitness

  • Burnout is not only an individual challenge but a systemic issue that stems from organisational culture, leadership practices, and employee engagement. While Connected Ape provides essential support through individual therapy and coaching, we also work with organisations to address systemic factors contributing to burnout. Our approach includes:

    • Leadership training: Helping managers and leaders recognize and prevent burnout within their teams.

    • Workshops for employees: Focusing on stress management, resilience, and emotional energy to build sustainable wellbeing.

Preventing burnout requires a culture shift within the organisation. Connected Ape works with organisations to foster a work environment that prioritises employee wellbeing. Some key actions include:

  • Workload management: Ensuring that employees are not overloaded and have clear boundaries between work and personal life.

  • Employee recognition and support: Acknowledging employee efforts and providing access to mental health resources.

  • Training leadership: Helping leaders create an environment where psychological safety is prioritised, where employees can speak openly about their mental health challenges without fear of repercussions.

According to Gallup, employees who feel supported by their managers are 70% less likely to experience burnout. CAPE’s programs ensure that leaders are equipped to provide this support.

CAPE’s therapy and coaching services are designed to be part of an integrated wellbeing strategy that addresses the root causes of burnout. Our services provide both individual support and organisational development. We work alongside HR teams to:

  • Support employee mental fitness through therapy and coaching.

  • Enhance leadership capabilities to prevent burnout at the team level.

  • Promote a culture of mental resilience through ongoing workshops and leadership training.
By addressing both individual and systemic needs, we help create an environment where burnout is less likely to occur and employees are empowered to thrive.

Research shows that organisations play a crucial role in preventing burnout. Gallup’s research reveals that employees who feel supported by their organization are more likely to engage with their work and remain productive. Conversely, when employees experience burnout, they are more likely to become disengaged, leading to higher absenteeism, turnover rates, and a decrease in overall productivity.

By investing in a holistic approach that includes leadership coaching, team resilience-building, and individual therapy, organisations can mitigate the risk of burnout and create a culture that values employee health. At Connected Ape, we believe that organisations share the responsibility of mental health, as it is vital to long-term success.

Several studies highlight the positive effects of addressing burnout at the organisational level:

  • Gallup reports that organisations with engaged employees see 21% higher productivity and 22% higher profitability.

  • A study by the American Psychological Association found that organisations with mental health programs saw a 25% decrease in burnout and a 50% reduction in absenteeism.

  • Furthermore, companies that prioritise employee wellbeing report improved retention rates, job satisfaction, and overall company performance.
